A well-known and highly regarded Member of Parliament, Sir Jeremy Hunt has been the MP for Godalming and Ash, and before that South West Surrey, since 2005. In opposition, he held the position of Shadow Deputy Prime Minister, as well as occupying the shadow DCMS and Work and Pensions briefs. In Government he became known for his roles in the big offices of state, including Chancellor (2022-2024), Foreign Secretary (2018-2019), Health Secretary (2012-2018) and Culture Secretary (2010-2012, during the London Olympics). He has sought leadership of the Conservative Party twice.
